Update 3 to Patch 7.10 released this morning. Take a look at what you can expect when you drop into the Fortnite map.

The first patch of 2019 is here! It seems like it's been a while since Fortnite has released an update, with the last one bringing us the widely-hated Boom Box. Let's take a look at what this update has in store for us.

Important Changes

The time a lot of you have been waiting for is here: the suppressed sniper rifle has made its way into the game. The weapon is available in Epic and Legendary variants. It does 100/105 base damage as we reported yesterday.

I was hoping that the drop of the new sniper was a bit more punishing than the normal version to make up for the stealth. This was probably too much to ask for, and initial clips are showing people getting dinged without knowing what's happening.

Even better than this news, though, was that Epic unvaulted the Dual Pistols while vaulting the Burst Rifle and Six Shooter. Now, the Famas will be the only burst rifle in the game. I'm far from the only person to call for such vaultings, but these were two weapons that made my list of 7 things Epic should take out of the game.

It looks like the pump-dualie combo is alive and well, people.

There were also some adjustments to Boom Boxes and Dynamite, although the latter was only a 40% reduction in drop rate. The Boom Box received a more substantial nerf, with the health reduced to 400 from the initial 600. The duration was also reduced from 25 seconds down to 18 seconds, with a 33% reduction in drop rate.

The X-4 Stormwing is continuing to get nerfed. Epic reduced the structure damage of the plane by 50%, reduced the impact damage from 50% to 25% and the knockback to players by 70%. They also made the gun on the plane less accurate by increasing the spread by 75%. You can no longer fly the plane over the maximum build limit.

Other Small Changes

There were a few other small changes, such as the health of supply drops being reduced to 250/500/750 (Solo/Duo/Squad).

There is also a new Block this week, made by KojackNumber2. The area looks like a death trap if you ask me. It's creative and interesting nonetheless.

14 Days of Fortnite is back for a limited time as well, along with some of the LTMs associated with it. There will be a daily rotation similar to what we saw during the holidays.
