Fortnite Battle Royale has been one of the most popular games in the world for several years now, and with it has come a host of notable players. From Ninja to SypherPK, many gamers have risen to fame through their skills and dedication to the game. However, one player who has flown under the radar is Ship. Today we have the chance to chat with Steve; thank you for being here!

Who is Ship?

Ship is a Twitch streamer with over 170k followers, a number that may not put him on the same level as other streaming giants like Ninja, who has 17 million followers, but his in-game statistics speak for themselves. Ship holds the Guinness World Record for the most eliminations and wins in Fortnite Battle Royale in 2020, a title that he has managed to maintain even two years later.

When did you meet Fortnite, and how? When did you realise you could have a career playing it?

"I first started playing Fortnite when it came out in 2017. I was on the COD leaderboards, played Fortnite for a few days, uninstalled it, and returned to COD. Fortnite started getting more attention and was reinstalled a week later, and it has continued. I quickly learned on controller how to build and became very good at it. It also was enjoyable. My stats started growing, and I realized I could stream as a career."

What sets Ship apart from other players is not just his impressive win count, but also his ability to maintain dominance in the game. Despite the fact that Twitch is dominated by gaming personalities and giants like Ninja, Ship has managed to establish himself as a force to be reckoned with. In addition to his dominance in the game, Ship has also grown his base on Youtube, TikTok, Instagram and Twitch, gaining a significant number of followers because of his achievements. While other players may have huge followings on social media platforms, Ship's in-game statistics speak for themselves.

When did your Streaming career start, and how?

"In 2017, Mixer started, and I applied for the partner, got it, and my streaming career started. My views on Mixer were growing quickly. They flew me to Seattle and signed me to a three-year contract. It was the most exciting thing that's ever happened thus far to me. Unfortunately, Mixer shut down, but I'm forever grateful to them. I jumped to Twitch and continue working hard to grow my stream on a Platform with huge streamers on it."

One of the reasons for Ship's success is the Crowned Victory Royale. Unlike normal victories in Battle Royale mode, players must keep the golden crown equipped throughout the match and also win the game in the end. The Victory Royale message at the end has a crown over it to distinguish the achievement.

How did you become so famous? What has influenced your career?

"I became a figure on Fortnite Trackers' main page for wins and received a Guinness World Record for Wins, which has helped me grow. I never really played competitive, I have done some tournaments and enjoyed them, but I've always just played for wins. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to support myself by doing something I love. I've built a fantastic community that's become, my second family."

It is clear that Ship is a talented and dedicated player who has earned the respect of the Fortnite community. With 1300 Crowned Victory Royale wins and counting, he has proven himself to be one of the best players in the game. He is an underrated winner on Fortnite Battle Royale, his follower count on Twitch does not justify the greatness of the player who holds the record for the most wins and eliminations in the game.

What are your plans going forward in 2023?

"Regarding plans, it's all about growing my stream to the viewership. I believe it can be, really just go one day at a time, one hour a time one victory royale a time."

As he continues to stream and play the game, it will be exciting to see what other records he sets and what other feats he accomplishes in the future. If any fan claims that Ship is the best Fortnite player on the planet, they have some insane facts to support that argument.

We thank and wish the best to Steve for taking some time to speak with us. Be sure to follow him on every social!
