Fortnite is hinting at the future addition of dragons with new eggs found on Polar Peak.

There are a ton of items in Fortnite that the community never asked for or really wanted. Planes, balloons, and the Infinity Blade jump to the front of my mind. And who can forget the massive meteors that slammed down on the map and caused havoc a few seasons ago?

No one knows where Fortnite is headed or what they'll add next. Players are just now discovering something new that might be added in Season 8, though: dragons.

Rumors of eggs found in the game files have been circulating for a bit. No one had seen one, but they were soon accessible to those who glitched under Polar Peak in spectator mode, as you can see from the video below.

Now that the ice on the map is receding, the eggs are now available to all. You can find them by breaking through the ground floor of the castle on Polar Peak. There are even some new chest spawns down there.

So, what does all of this mean? Will we be seeing dragons enter the game in the near future?

Fortnite has been teasing upcoming events for as long as the game has been out. We first heard news of snow entering the map multiple seasons ago, and we all remember the hubbub over the comet.

Will dragons be usable items? Will they be NPC agitators similar to the husks and meteors? Only time will tell. Some have even theorized that the dragon eggs could signify a Game of Thrones crossover similar to what we got with Infinity War.

We'll update you as soon as we learn more, but that probably won't be for some time. Meanwhile, follow us on Twitter for more news, updates, and item shop additions.
