On Wednesday, Epic Games announced that the popular Late Game Arena playlist will soon be returning for the first time in Fortnite Chapter 3.

In this fast-paced mode, players spawn with a random competitive loadout as the storm is already closing in. It’s an action-packed alternative to normal public and Arena matches, where lobbies die out fast and it can be hard to find enemies.

When will Late Game Arena be playable?

Epic’s tweet revealed that Late Game Arena will be back on Tuesday, August 30. This date is also when leakers expect the Fortnite v21.50 patch to release.

UPDATE: They have now replied to the original tweet, confirming that Late Game Arena will go live at 8AM ET (12PM UTC).

It’s worth noting that the limited-time Zero Build Arena mode will be removed in this same update, so you only have a few days left to earn the free cosmetic rewards.

Fans can’t wait!

Players are clearly very excited about this news. The Late Game Arena announcement is by far the most popular post from the official @FNCompetitive account in a long time, having reached over 16k retweets in under 24 hours.

Pros and content creators are buzzing too. Muz and Malibuca for example, have promised to get back on the stream grind, while Jivan will be hosting custom Late Game Arena scrims.

It will be interesting to see if Epic makes any changes to Late Game Arena for Chapter 3. Last time around it was available in both Solos and Trios, so potentially they may introduce Duos now to mirror the current main competitive mode.
