Fortnite update June 28: Firework Gun, Neo Tilted returns & Fall Guys collab

It’s time for your weekly dose of fresh Fortnite content! The v21.10 hotfix brings back an old favourite with a new twist, plus there’s been a big change down at the Butter Barn.

Firework Flare Gun

The Flare Gun has been unvaulted and given a makeover. It works exactly the same, but now shoots fireworks instead of the standard red flare. Perfect for those 4^th of July celebrations!

Firework Flare Guns can be found as floor loot, in Chests and in Supply Drops. And yes, they still set everything on fire…

Map Changes

Another POI has been hit by the dramatic effects of the Reality Tree. Like we saw with Logjam Lumberyard, the Butter Barn has now become an evolving “Reality Cloud”.

Earlier today the Butter Barn Reality Cloud was enabled!

This means that it randomly cycles between a selection of former Fortnite locations match-to-match. Go check it out to relive Neo Tilted, Coral Castle, and Colossal Coliseum.

Ripsaw Week

Epic quietly added the new Ripsaw Launcher last week. A device that allows you to shoot rampaging sawblades, that will deal damage to both builds and enemies.

From now until July 5, Ripsaw Launcher spawns have been dramatically increased. They are now available in Chests, Supply Drops, and on the ground, as well as on the walls in the Chop Shop north of Logjam.

Fall Guys

A long-awaited Fall Guys x Fortnite collaboration is expected to drop on Wednesday. The event will be called “Crown Clash” and will give players the chance to earn cosmetic rewards inside Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League.

According to popular leaker @iFireMonkey, there will be four free Fortnite items to unlock. Additionally, Fall Guys fans can collect up to 3,500 Kudos (in-game currency).

Competitive

The Firework Flare Gun will not be present in competitive playlists and the Ripsaw Launcher isn’t in these game modes, so they won’t be affected by Ripsaw Week.
