One of Fortnite’s most popular items returns with a fresh design for Chapter 3 Season 3.

Epic has been on point with the content updates in Fortnite Chapter 3. It feels like not a week goes by without us getting a new item or gameplay feature to enjoy.

Here we are less than ten days into Season 3, and there’s already a meta-changing new piece of kit available in-game. Introducing the Grapple Gloves…

If you played during Fortnite C3:S1, you’ll remember the fan favorite Spider-Man Web-Shooters. The Grapple Gloves are essentially the exact same item, just reskinned now that this particular Marvel collab is over.

Shoot at any solid surface to swing towards it; combo multiple swings together to get around the map insanely fast. Be careful though, you only have a limited number of uses.

As with the Spider-Man Mythic, Grapple Gloves have 30 shots in standard playlists and 10 shots in competitive. They can also be helpful for grabbing loot that’s out of your reach and pulling it towards you!

There are 10 Grapple Stations around the Island where you can find the new gloves. According to leaker @HYPEX, the stations “have a purple box that has an 80% spawn and you can find the Grapple Glove in it”.

These boxes look similar to the red toolboxes that drop vehicle mods and repair tools. Like these boxes, the purple ones will drop a small amount of ammo too.

Fun fact: Dataminer @iFireMonkey noted that if you hit your “Replay Last Emote” bind while using the Grapple Gloves, you can Emote in the air!

Mobility has been a big talking point lately; especially in competitive modes, where Shockwave Grenades and most vehicles have been removed. It will be interesting to see if pro players gravitate towards holding Grapple Gloves over the Rift-To-Go.
