Hop, skip, and fly into action with Fortnite’s latest gameplay changes.
Another week, another fresh dose of Fortnite content goodness to enjoy. Tuesday’s v20.10 hotfix sees some favorites unvaulted, and the next stage of the battle between IO and Resistance forces.
Jetpacks
Epic continues to bring the crazy Chapter 1 vibes back to life. Jetpacks have returned adding a whole new dimension to fights, whether you’re in build mode or not.
They’ve also been buffed so that you can now aim down sights while hovering and strafing, making you less of a sitting duck.
Find Jetpacks hanging on the walls of IO Blimps, or purchase with gold bars from any of the following NPCs: The Visitor, The Scientist, Brainiac, Mullet Marauder, or Cuddle Team Leader.
Easter Updates
To help spread the seasonal spirit, Egg Launchers have been unvaulted too. As always, they function similarly to Grenade Launchers, though the explosive eggs tend to be a little less precise.
Pick up an Egg Launcher as floor loot or from Chests.
Additionally, munch on one of the Bouncy Eggs scattered on the ground across the Island for a temporary low gravity effect. They even grant a small amount of shield!
Battle at Condo Canyon
Last week, the IO’s war with the Resistance began to heat up, with AI characters from both sides going toe to toe at the Daily Bugle. The Resistance has come out on top, and as a result, Funding Stations for an Armored Battle Bus and Turrets at the Bugle have gone live.
The fighting has now made its way to Condo Canyon. Expect more chaos, and once again, Huntmaster Saber is patrolling the blimp above.
Competitive
Neither Jetpacks, Egg Launchers, or Bouncy Eggs are present in Arena and tournament playlists. However, Jetpacks are subject to an evaluation period and could potentially be added later.
Just as before, the AI battle at Condo Canyon will not take place in competitive modes. The Huntmaster Saber NPC has moved there though.
