Survive the second Black Hole with a selection of Fortnite-themed activities.
With Fortnite’s “The End” Finale event taking place on Saturday, fans are expecting nearly three days of server downtime before Chapter 3 goes live on Tuesday, December 7. That means no Battle Bus, no Creative, and certainly no Victory Royales.
Of course, this is the perfect opportunity to take a break, go outside, do some exercise, spend time with family, or even try out a different game. However, if you want to keep the Fortnite hype going too, we have a few ways to help you bridge the gap to Chapter 3.
1. Enjoy new content
If you find yourself tuning into the same stream or YouTube channel every day, maybe give someone else a shot. There’s a ton of great Fortnite content out there, you simply have to find it!
I’ve personally just discovered the “Unvaulted: Fortnite Podcast” by Squatingdog. The show discusses all things Fortnite, from updates to future predictions, and in the last few weeks alone guests have included Ninja, DrLupo, Benjyfishy, Ali-A, TypicalGamer, Bugha and SypherPK.
You can listen to the podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, or alternatively check out a video version on the Squatingdog YouTube channel. In fact, Unvaulted recently broke into the Top 200 “Leisure” pods on Apple Podcasts.
2. Relive awesome moments
Everyone loves a good hit of nostalgia. As we prepare to make years’ worth of new memories, it doesn’t hurt to remember the old ones.
Go back and watch videos from whenever you first started playing, you’ll see items and places you completely forgot existed. Work your way through all the previous live events, experience the Season 4 Rocket Launch, bow down to the Ice King, and say hello to the Butterfly.
Competitive Fortnite more up your alley? Rewatch the World Cup, Summer Skirmish and Secret Skirmish. Tfue and Nickmercs in tournament mode, CouRageJD in the casting booth… what’s else could you want?
3. Take a Fortnite quiz
Prove that you’re a real OG and put your Fortnite knowledge to the test. Better yet, create your own quiz and challenge your friends.
There’s a bunch of community made quizzes online but to be honest, a lot are pretty low quality and way too easy. If you want one that’s tough, this “Guess the Fortnite Season” quiz by Beano is all about Chapter 1. I’d be impressed if you can get 10/10.
However, your best bet is YouTube. There are all sorts of quizzes on a range of topics and time periods, and if the video has a lot of views, the questions tend to be well chosen. Try Lachlan’s “Impossible Fortnite Quiz”, or “Guess the gun sound” from Addicts.
Whatever you decide to do during downtime, remember to relax. Having a couple of days off won’t ruin all your progress and it will be back before you know it. See you in Chapter 3!
