Will you brave these petrifying pictures alone or grab a mate for the movie marathon?
With just a few days left until the big day, spooky season is in full swing. From massive monsters to scary skins, Fortnitemares 2021 has brought all kinds of fright upon the Island, and Epic aren’t done yet.
Back for a third time, the Shortnite Film Festival returns to Fortnite later this week, this time with a Halloween twist. Beginning October 28 at 6PM ET and running until November 1 at 6PM ET, tune in to catch a selection of seven horror-themed animated shorts.
Where to watch
It’s really simple to watch Shortnitemares this year, you don’t need to load in to Party Royale or anything. Instead, a special “Shortnitemares” playlist will be available directly from the game mode selection screen.
You will be loaded into a custom-built theatre designed by Creative team Quantum Builds. Inside you can either pick your favorite films and watch them in their own rooms, or head to the Festival Room which will display all seven on a continuous loop.
Additionally, if you’d rather indulge while you play a match, the Picture-in-Picture mode will be accessible via the settings menu. Note however that Picture-in-Picture viewing will not count towards unlocking cosmetics.
Free Spray
Speaking of cosmetics, there’s a free Spray up for grabs to add to your locker! Just watch 30 minutes total of Shortnitemares in the Shortnitemares Theatre to earn the Spray Matters Spray, as pictured above.
