DreamHack Fortnite has you covered with a series of additional events throughout Season 8.
Fortnite Season 8 is just around the corner and it’s looking like we’re going to have a packed schedule. It remains to be seen what impact Operation: Sky Fire will have on the map but players are going to have to adapt fast.
On Wednesday Epic Games released a blog post detailing upcoming Arena changes, the new reworked FNCS format and more. They also revealed the $5,000,000 FNCS Grand Royale event and confirmed that plenty of other offerings are on the way.
DreamHack Fortnite’s third-party tournaments have become a pillar of the competitive calendar this past year, even since reducing the frequency at which they run. Their dates for Season 8 have now been revealed:
DreamHack Season 8 Schedule
Cash Cup Extra
- Cash Cup Extra #1 – October 6
- Cash Cup Extra #2 – November 3
- Cash Cup Extra #3 – December 1
DreamHack Open ft. Fortnite
- Europe – October 7 – 10
- NA East – October 7 – 10
A fan favorite, the DreamHack Online Open is available to all players aged 13 and up, with the only other entry requirement being that you have Two-Factor Authentication enabled. For October the game mode will be Duos again, despite recent requests from some people to switch back to Solos.
Cash Cup Extra qualification is reserved for the highest placing teams in Epic’s weekly Trio Cash Cups. In previous seasons the cut off has been top 132, so be sure to put in the work if you want a chance at bagging some bonus prize money.
Neither of these competitions are region locked, meaning that you are free to switch servers and compete. More information on exact timings will be released in the coming weeks.
