If all the leaks are to be believed, Fortnite Season 8 is shaping up to be an absolute belter!

With just a few days to go before the Operation: Sky Fire live event brings Fortnite Season 7 to an explosive close, we are starting to get some solid information on what’s coming next. Everything discussed in this article is already public knowledge but if you’ve been trying to avoid spoilers altogether it’s still worth clicking away.

Firstly, let’s talk skins. In a conversation with content creator @qCandywing, Epic Games’ Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard confirmed that popular anime character ‘Naruto’ will feature in the new Battle Pass.

Note: Candywing has since clarified that they misunderstood Mustard and now states that Naruto is not in the Battle Pass. However, this doesn't mean that Naruto won't feature at all.

It sounds like the collab won’t just be limited to cosmetics however. Previous rumours about Naruto coming to Fortnite have suggested that a Mythic Explosive Kunai item is also on the cards. If this is true, we may even see a dedicated location and Boss as we did with Stark Industries in Season 4.

Furthermore, it’s probably safe to assume that if we’re getting one Mythic item from this crossover, there will be others available too. Though this might be concerning news for some competitive fans, it would certainly help to spice things up.

Speaking of which… is a fresh biome imminent? Despite being packed with regular content updates and widely praised as one of the most enjoyable parts of Chapter 2, the current season left players desperately craving significant map changes.

Dataminer @HYPEX recently reiterated that a Pyramid-themed POI could potentially arrive in Season 8. Accompanied by a collection of “Cactus consumables”, this idea is exciting for a couple of reasons:

Not only is a Pyramid POI a cool concept on its own, but if the surrounding area becomes a desert biome, this could be an indication that the Island is going to start rapidly evolving as it did during Chapter 1. For many people, this was a huge element of what kept Fortnite fun for so long.

While a few of the existing spots could definitely do with replacing, it would be great to see Epic add the Pyramid (and any other new places) somewhere that is currently empty. There’s a bunch of wasted space on the map and the lack of loot is a real issue, especially in bigger team game modes.

Season 8 will run through Halloween and thus include the yearly “Fortnitemares” event. Leaks hint that a new army of monsters, known as “The Sideways”, are set to feature. In all likelihood, this will be part of another Stranger Things collaboration.

In my opinion, we’ve saved the best one till last. Kevin the Cube will be returning to Fortnite, also allegedly for Halloween. This is an older leak and has now been almost fully confirmed.

A Kevin Outfit is coming too. Hopefully the Cube will be involved for more than just a week or two and will have a significant impact on the storyline as we approach the tail end of Chapter 2.
