J Balvin cements his Fortnite legacy with a new Icon Series Outfit and Duos tournament.
The Fortnite Icon Series is getting stacked this year with big name after big name joining the roster. In the last couple of months alone we’ve seen pop sensation Ariana Grande and NBA superstar LeBron James get the in-game skin treatment.
Prince of Reggaeton J Balvin headlined the Fortnitemares Afterlife Party last October and now it’s his turn to be immortalized inside the Battle Royale universe. The J Balvin Icon Series set arrives in the Item Shop at 8 PM ET, August 26.
Available separately or as a bundle, J Balvin’s new gear includes the Balvin Cruiser Glider, In Da Party Emote and the Real Back Bling, a colorful sword which can be unsheathed to become the Real Pickaxe. The Outfit itself comes with two extra variants: the menacing Energia Balvin Style and the psychedelic Skeleton Balvin.
J Balvin Cup
Yet another opportunity to flex your Fortnite Duos muscles, the J Balvin Cup takes place on Tuesday, August 24. Grab a teammate and compete for the opportunity to unlock both the J Balvin skin and Real Back Bling/Pickaxe for free.
As you’ve probably come to expect, the tournament will last for approximately 3 hours, with players able to complete a maximum of 10 matches. Points are awarded for both eliminations and placement based on the following format:
