Fortnite Season 7 is in full swing, and players are loving it! As well as some big competitions and a shiny new Battle Pass, the v17.00 update treated fans to a whole bunch of exciting gameplay changes.
Among these adjustments was a huge upgrade to one of the Battle Royale’s staple items. Supply Llamas have been a Fortnite mainstay since Chapter 1 Season 3, they’re hard to find and very rewarding, and now, they’re even better.
In Season 7, Llamas will run off if you get too close, releasing shields and ammo as they go. When fully destroyed, they will drop materials, yet more shield and ammunition, and perhaps most excitingly, the Exotic Chug Cannon.
If you have good aim and a couple of automatic weapons, you may be able to deplete a Llama’s HP bar fairly quickly. However, after around 30 seconds they will teleport away, often out of sight, meaning you miss out on a lot of the best stuff.
Fortunately, Redditor u/OKCampaign7646 recently shared a foolproof method to make sure you get all the loot, every time.
What you need to do is sneak up on the Llama by crouch-walking behind it. As soon as you’re in range, quickly build around it to trap it in.
Once inside your builds, the Llama will be unable to break out and escape. From here you can line up a perfect headshot and spray it open in no time.
If you do accidentally startle a Llama, it’s not all over. Hitting it with a charged Rail Gun shot, Vehicle or Fishing Rod will temporarily stun it, giving you a chance to close the distance and deal some easy damage.
