DreamHack is bringing the heat this summer with a fresh offering of fierce Fortnite action.

Over the last year, DreamHack’s Fortnite events have become a staple on the competitive Fortnite calendar, undoubtedly making them the most prominent third-party organizer in the scene. Their open entry structure allows anyone to take part, and millions of dollars in prizing have already been won.

Earlier in the week, the DreamHack team revealed that they would be taking a break in June while Chapter 2 Season 7 flies into operation. They will now be running tournaments once per season, rather than monthly as they did in 2020.

Dates for the next wave of DreamHack competitions can be found below:

DreamHack Open ft. Fortnite

Europe

  • August 11 & 12 - Heats 1-3

  • August 18 - Semis

  • August 19 - Finals

NA East

  • August 11 - Heats

  • August 12 - Semis

  • August 18 - Finals

Though it’s yet to be officially confirmed, it looks very likely that the game mode will be sticking to Duos. The promo image used in DreamHack’s announcement Tweet shows two characters, which is usually an indication of the event’s team size.

A $200,000 prize pool will be split across NA East and EU, but players from any region are welcome to take part. As usual, entrants need to be at least 13 years old and must have Two-Factor Authentication enabled.

Fortnite Cash Cup Extra Presented by DreamHack

Europe & NA East

  • July 14

  • July 21

  • August 25

Top performers from the Monday Trio Cash Cups on July 12, July 19 and August 23 will earn a spot in the corresponding Cash Cup Extra. DreamHack will provide more information closer to the time, and further details on upcoming tournaments are available in the “Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 Competitive Update” blog post by Epic Games.
