Season 6 quickly approaches, but there’s always time for a little more content!

The Fortnite v15.50 build is now live. The update featured some minor loot pool adjustments, hints at a potential end of season event, and also revealed some exciting upcoming cosmetics.

Weapons & items

Following what has become a new weekly tradition, Epic has vaulted the Hand Cannon and replaced it with another fan favorite. Returning this time is the Rapid Fire SMG. Hop in-game now to try it out, but act fast, it probably won’t be around for long.

According to dataminer @HYPEX, Jelly Fish and Rift Fish are back too. They also mentioned that “a new Egg Launcher has been added in 4 rarities”, though it seems likely that this will remain in the files until we get a bit closer to Easter.

Creative Mode updates

In a blog post detailing changes to Fortnite Creative in the v15.50 patch, the developers touched on a couple of promising improvements.

Large Islands, which are around 25% bigger than the previous island size have been introduced. This ties in nicely with a recent report from @HYPEX suggesting that Epic is considering a BETA feature that would allow up to 50 players in a Creative match.

Event news

During downtime, popular Fortnite leaker @iFireMonkey shared some interesting gameplay tags that he thought could relate to a potential end of season event. These included “Converted Teleport Start/End”, “Effect Immobilize” and “Event Dancing”.

Unfortunately, most of these tags were quickly explained to have some other function. This prompted iFireMonkey to share his thoughts, stating “I feel that we won’t have a ‘big event’, but instead some small changes to the zero point as we reach the end of this season”.

As shown by @HappyPower, we are already seeing the Zero Point begin to destabilize following today’s update. Perhaps there is still a chance that this leads to some climactic event before the start of Season 6.

Upcoming cosmetics

The Centurion skin and Centurion Edge pickaxe are thought to be part of a new starter pack, expected to release next season. Centurions description reads, “Hazard Platoon’s extraction expert and munitions master. Part of the Hazard Platoon set”.

Also leaked was the Marigold Outfit designed by @kitsunexkitsu. This is a female version of Midas, which similarly can turn completely gold. The bundle appears to feature an awesome dual-sword pickaxe, Golden Gambit Back Bling and 1,500 V-Bucks, as well as the skin itself.
