You can earn a bunch of free cosmetic items simply for getting some games in with an old buddy.
Whether as a result of burnout, work and school commitments or just wanting to play something different, it’s only natural that over time, our Fortnite friendship groups change.
Epic Games has introduced a new scheme designed to get former Fortnite fans back on the Battle Bus. The Reboot a Friend program rewards you for teaming up with players that haven’t logged in in a while.
Been a while since you and your squad played together?

How does it work?
Head to the official Reboot a Friend website to see a list of any friends that are ready to be rebooted. Choose carefully, you can currently only pick one!
From here it’s easy. Load up Fortnite, invite your pal and start playing. The game will automatically track your progress, but you can also check it via the website.
The more matches you play, the more prizes you will unlock:
Play 1 game together to earn the Reboot Emoticon
Play 5 games together to earn the Key Change Lobby Track
Play 10 games together to earn the Twin Talons Pickaxe
Play 20 games together to earn the Holofoil Wrap
Both you and your friend will receive the items in-game within 7 days of completing the required number of matches.
To begin with, the Reboot a Friend Beta will be available from December 14, 2020 at 3 am ET until January 4, 2021 at 3 am ET.
Depending on the success of this initial test period, it is likely that Epic will continue to iterate and expand on the program in the future, potentially with even cooler prizes up for grabs.
