Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl ft. Fortnite event confirmed for 2021

Fortnite fans will compete for the chance to play alongside NFL pros and Twitch stars at the Streamer Bowl.

Following news of Epic Games’ continued partnership with the National Football League and the release of the updated Gridiron Gang skins, two pigskin-themed competitions have also been announced.

With the start of Season 5 on December 2, a selection of NFL players will race to rack up as many Arena points as possible. Those who earn the most Hype will then take part in the NFLPA Open Championship in January 2021.

From here top performers will earn a spot at the Streamer Bowl, which is currently scheduled for February 4, 2021. The Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl matches NFL athletes with popular Fortnite creators, all battling out to win money for their chosen charities.

NRG’s Cody “Clix” Conrod and his partner Tarik Cohen came out on top at this year’s Streamer Bowl, which ended up being one of the final Fortnite LAN events before the pandemic put in-person tournaments on hold. For 2021, the action will take place online, but it is sure to be just as intense.

Twitch Rivals is the perfect combination of competition and entertainment, but you don’t have to sit and watch from the sidelines. In January, the Streamer Bowl Cup will function as an open qualifier, giving you the opportunity to secure a space at the main event.

As a taster of what’s to come, NFL players and Twitch streamers will also feature in a series of Showdown matches in December and January. You can expect to see a live broadcast of these games, the NFLPA Open and the Streamer Bowl at twitch.tv/twitchrivals.
