One of the key distinctions that separates keyboard from controller players is the ability for near instant edit resets using the scroll wheel. Did the v14.60 update put that feature in jeopardy?
Scroll wheel reset is described as the double binding of your grab edit and edit reset keys to scroll wheel up or down. Using your second bind in this manner allows for you to grab and reset edits much faster than traditionally grabbing and manually resetting
Since controllers don’t have a scroll wheel -- or even a generally spammable button in the way a scroll wheel acts, this feature is exclusively for keyboard and mouse players. Unfair? Maybe. But controller players also have aim assist; I think it balances out
We're beginning to disable services in preparation for v14.60. If you're currently in a session, you can continue to play until downtime starts at approx. 4 AM ET (09:00 UTC). pic.twitter.com/SyrgVYuwZf

Regardless of your thoughts on scroll wheel reset, players noticed some odd anomalies after the v14.60 downtime
One player quickly took to Twitter with a video showing themselves unsuccessfully attempting to bind a secondary key to their edit reset slot. Here’s what that looked like:
WTF WHY ISNT MY SCROLL WHEEL RESET WORKING!?!? pic.twitter.com/WZO8pXOkrQ

The community grew increasingly concerned as more and more players were unable to bind their secondary keys
Eventually, Fortnite’s support Twitter account noted the issue and said they were “investigating issues with binding different actions to the same key”
We are currently investigating issues with binding different actions to the same key. We will update you when we have more information.

In the meantime, we recommend not resetting your keyboard binds in the settings. pic.twitter.com/yWCbaYJ7vX
From the looks of their response, we can conclude that disabling the secondary keys was a mere bug that was a byproduct of the update. Since the team recommended to not reset your keyboard binds, they must be looking for a solution
To be very clear, as long as you don’t touch your keybinds, you’ll be fine. The bug only affects users that unbinded their secondary key binds and cannot re-add the binds
The pro community is still cautious about the recent developments with fears that Epic might be looking to remove scroll wheel reset all together
If you take out scroll wheel there will be an outrage of riots across all of America

Cented among many other pros hold the same sentiment in that removing scroll wheel reset will collapse the balance between controller and keyboard. Both inputs have certain advantages and disadvantages; removing scroll wheel reset will heavily favor controller players
100Thieves’ Ceice already declared that he would switch inputs if scroll wheel reset was removed
ya fuck this if they remove scroll wheel I’m switching to controller

I don’t think that Epic plans on removing scroll wheel reset anytime soon, and this shouldn’t be an indicator regardless. Bugs can have unfortunate and, quite frankly, inconvenient consequences. Expect a short term solution to this very temporary problem
Sorry controller players, it looks like you guys aren’t getting buffed after all
