Epic Games is collaborating with Houseparty to bring players a brand-new way to chat in Fortnite.
The two companies have worked together in the past, but this new endeavour will take your team comms to the next level.
From Wednesday, November 18, players will be able to use video chat inside of Fortnite. That’s right, the integration with the Houseparty app will allow you to see your friends faces on screen as you fight for the Victory Royale.
Unfortunately, the service will only be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 to begin with. However, Epic says that they will let us know if support for more platforms is coming in the future.

How does it work?
Firstly, you will need to download the Houseparty app to an iOS or Android mobile device. Once installed, link your Houseparty account to your Epic Games account. From here, connect to Fortnite through the app via settings or the TV icon.
Now you’re good to go! Join your friends in Houseparty and start playing. Members of your chat will appear in a small tab to the left of your screen.
Free Wrap
To encourage people to try this new feature, Epic is rewarding all players who link their Houseparty and Epic Games accounts with the free Rainbow Fog Wrap.
Since video chat is only available on PC and PlayStation, they are also offering another opportunity to earn this free gift. Simply play five matches of Fortnite with friends between November 20 (12:00 ET) and November 26 (11:59 ET) and you will also receive the wrap.
