The EU Encore Trios tournament is starting soon and boasts a prize pool of over $240,000.

Arena Trios has been available in Fortnite since June, but with the end of Season 4 fast approaching, we may well see it removed. This would mean players have a little more than two weeks to enjoy the popular game mode.

Epic is yet to confirm the format for next season’s competitive action, but fans expect it to be focused on either Duos or Squads.

With that said, the recent addition of Arena Duos alongside Solos and Trios hasn’t had a significant impact on queue times in major regions, so optimistically speaking, we could see these playlists continue to coexist.

Regardless, the upcoming EU Encore event is the perfect opportunity to get in some last-minute Trios gameplay. The tournament features both invitational and open rounds of qualification, with a substantial amount of cash up for grabs in the final.

Only the top 4500 players on the EU Region Series Leaderboard of the PC FNCS Chapter 2 Season 4 will be invited to take part in the Round 1 and Round 2 qualifiers.

If you didn’t make the cut, the open Wildcard Round is your chance to shine. This will take place on November 20, and is open to any trio team where each member is ranked in Contender League or higher in Arena.

The Wildcard Round will last approximately 3 hours, with teams battling through a maximum of 10 matches. The top 2 trios from the Wildcard will qualify to the EU Encore Finals on November 22, where they will fight against the best of the best for a slice of the $240k+ prize pool.

So, whether you decide to compete in the EU Encore event, or if you would rather just chill in Arena with friends, be sure to make the most of Trios mode. No doubt it will be back at some point, but it could be a long wait.
