Epic Games has released some crucial information to creators as we head into the v14.20 patch arriving on September 23rd
It’s Tuesday night (or Wednesday morning for those international folks) and you already know what that means: patch night. Today’s the day where all the newly teased content actually makes its way to the real game - and new code is added to the game files to give us an extended sneak peek into the future
Downtime for patch notes have been reverted to the standard 4AM EST (1AM PST/9AM BST), two hours past the previous 2AM EST downtime. Keep in mind that this time around, queues will close approximately 30 minutes before downtime. Get your games in early tonight!
As is customary, Support-A-Creator verified content creators get the first look at what can only be described as condensed patch notes. The “Content Creator Update” gives us some good insight as to what Fortnite will look like tomorrow. We will also have a patch note megathread up later tonight to include any changes that wasn’t previously announced
Fortnite Content Creator Update - v14.20 Game Update
New Boss: Wolverine
Confront Weapon X deep in Weeping Woods, take him out, and shred through your opponents with the Wolverine’s Claws mythic power. Like other bosses on the map, he won’t go down without a fight. Let us know what you think!
Takeover LTM
Earn points by capturing and holding outposts in a new Marvel-themed game mode. During your Island domination, you’ll start with a random primary superpower and see comets in the sky dropping more powers of all types to build your perfect loadout.
BTS in Party Royale
BTS will premiere a special dynamite video 9/25 @ 8 PM ET. Keep eyes on our announcement blog for the latest news for content creators. See you there.
Fortnite Turns Three
Special birthday-themed plans are lined up this weekend to celebrate Fortnite’s third birthday. More challenges to earn XP, new rewards, and cake.
Llama-Rama Starts September 26
Play Rocket League to unlock items for both Rocket League and Fortnite. And watch Slushii on the Main Stage celebrating Llama-Rama on 9/26 @ 5 PM ET in Party Royale.
Overall, everything Fortnite announced was already teased throughout the week and didn't come as a surprise. The content creator update simply confirms that we’ll be getting all the aforementioned updates within the next week
I am personally very excited for the Rocket League x Fortnite crossover. With Rocket League moving over to the Epic Games Store as a free-to-play game, this event will only further increase the hype
Hidden message: “The Daywalker”
One quirk contained within the creator update was a hidden message. Certain letters throughout the page were colored in red instead of the typical black text. Here’s what I mean:

What do the letters spell when put together? Daywalker. Daywalker is a character in the Blade storyline, owned by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We can only assume that some vampire related content is headed to Fortnite in the next week
Fun stuff are developing within the Fortnite storyline. Make sure to follow us on Twitter to keep updated on this developing story
