The gaming superstar said that this was the most fun he has had on Fortnite for a long time.
After his meteoric rise throughout 2018/2019, many fans of Tyler “Ninja” Blevins were hugely disappointed when he, along with a selection of other popular streamers, almost entirely stopped creating Fortnite content earlier this year.
Issues with skill-based matchmaking and stream sniping drove away the likes of Ninja, TimTheTatman, CouRageJD and more. Not to mention the fact that playing the same thing all day everyday is bound to become tiring eventually.
Alongside negotiating his move back to Twitch from Mixer, Ninja has been focusing primarily on Riot Games’ new shooter, Valorant in recent months. He has taken a keen interest in the competitive scene and even captained a team at the T1 x NSG Valorant Showdown.
Yesterday, following what he described as “some serious bad days in a row”, Ninja decided to hop back on Fortnite to run some Duos with Ali “SypherPK” Hassan.
The pair seemed to have a great time, picking up a bunch of Victory Royales and not having to deal with much toxicity. After one win, they even joked about Ninja’s famous New Year’s Eve flossing nightmare.
Although the vibes were high, Sypher did have a warning for viewers getting too excited for a full Ninja return. “If the games were like this all the time, I’m sure Ninja would play way more Fortnite” he explained, “it’s just right now we’re doing a pretty good job of avoiding stream snipers”.
If the stream sniping problem comes back, then Fortnite will once again be unplayable for Ninja. For now though, he seems to be in good spirits.
I had some serious bad days in a row recently and felt like there was just a cloud of negative energy around me everywhere. @SypherPK randomly texts me to hop on Fortnite (couple days ago) , today we had the most fun on the game in a long time and I am feeling rejuvenated.

Tweeting after the session, Ninja told his supporters, “today we had the most fun on the game in a long time and I am feeling rejuvenated.
Does this mean that he is switching back to Fortnite as his main title? No, probably not. However, hopefully we can expect Ninja to sprinkle in Fortnite streams more often going forward.
