Tonight marks the first Fortnite patch since the launch of Season 3. Here’s everything you may (or may not) have missed
Current Patch
Flare Gun
After originally being teased in a Fortnite short back in June 2019, the Flare Gun is finally available in game. Working in a similar way to the new Firefly Jars, shots have the power to set enemy builds alight, slowly burning them down.
The Flare Gun will also temporarily highlight nearby opponents on screen in the same way that the Proximity Mine does.

Aim Assist… buffed?
We’re receiving multiple reports that aim assist was buffed. While it doesn’t feel the exact same as before the nerfs took effect, players are nevertheless confirming a noticeable improvement. Here’s a video of NAE Solo FNCS Invitational champion Furiouss testing out the current iteration of aim assist

Flood is draining
As predicted, the map will continue to drain out every single week over the next 8 weeks. Today, you’re going to see a little more land than you did yesterday
By the way, here is how the map is expected to fully drain out until there is no more flooding
Here is how the Fortnite map will change over the season as the water drys up. You can use this to prepare for the future, I think it's important to be ready because each map stage can completely change things around.. next water drop is supposedly on July 1st #leak #s13 #flood pic.twitter.com/A9Q0T9Dw3o

Current bug: P90 does not deal damage to enemies or henchmen. This critical error should be hotfixed by the end of the day
Pending request: The Charge Shotgun still isn’t in Creative. While the community speculated it would come today, we hope Fortnite can hotfix it in before next week’s patch
Future Leaks
Marvel crossover
It seems like we’re getting closer and closer to another Marvel x Fortnite crossover as the game file depicts an image of Captain America’s coveted shield. Could we be entering the end game for a second time? I guess we’ll find out!

I assume we still have to wait for the other half of the map to not be covered under water to have vehicles be viable… Cars could manifest within the next 6 weeks or so
Reintroducing old mythic items
The game files suggest that the old mythic items vaulted in Season 3 will return at some point in the near future. Will this tie into the Seasonal lore?

TikTok Dance..?
Popular TikTok creator Charlie D’amelio rose to fame in part due to her popular “Renegade Dance.” Now, it will be ingrained in history as an emote that you’ll be able to purchase in the item shop sometime in the future
