In one of the most on-brand announcement videos you will ever see, Arizona based Esports org Built By Gamers unveiled their newest recruits.
Epic Games’ recent increase in communication regarding competitive Fortnite has led to a sudden surge of investment in the space. You can’t open up Twitter without seeing that classic Simpsons contract signing gif.
The latest pair of pros to put pen to paper are brothers Jonathan “Calc” Weber and Avery “Haz” Weber. They revealed their move to BBG in style with a hilarious skit.
JUST SIGNED THE BEST BROTHERS IN FORTNITE

Littered with bleeped curse words, awkward humour and awesome gameplay, the video saw Calc and Haz present themselves to the Built By Gamers management team. The announcement made it clear that the Webers will not be expected to tone down their personalities for their new org.
They didn’t just join to make content though. As a World Cup qualifier and FNCS Trios Champion, Calc has been on the competitive radar for a long time. Haz reached Grand Finals in FNCS Squads, but it was Duos where he really made a name for himself. He and Avery won the first week of qualifiers, took 2nd in their heat and 7th overall.
We can expect the Fortnite signings to keep on coming. Shortly after introducing Calc and Haz, BBG tweeted “We’re not done”. Long time Misfits Gaming member and Twitch sensation Cody “Clix” Conrod also looks set to reveal his new home on Wednesday.
It’s exciting to see this renewed support for Fortnite esports, and hopefully we can eventually get back to World Cup levels of interest.
