Recent revelations show that you can steal anyone’s ramps, cones, and floors - even if they are on zero ping

“Taking walls” is a concept known to the Fortnite community as contesting someone else’s builds that they are actively turbo building against. Last year, Epic overhauled the build contesting feature such that instead of being ping dependent, a coin flip would decide who takes the wall

Or that’s how it is supposed to work. Many professional players have theorized that the coin flip system never truly worked as intended - but could never get to the bottom of why it was busted. This went on for a while, until today

A new quirk regarding the same building/coin flip mechanic has been discovered and made publicly available by Yung Calculator. What is the new revelation, you ask? Look north when contesting builds and you’ll yoink it every single time

Yes, it’s really that easy. Take a look at this tutorial for a more detailed analysis:

Calc jumped into a custom match with his buddy to demonstrate he was able to take walls the moment he switched his view model to look north. By the way - his buddy was on zero ping and he isn’t. Hence why he wasn’t able to brute force any builds while looking in other directions

While Calc is the first person to “expose” this building exploit, he is definitely not the first to find it out… and it seems like some pro players aren’t too happy with Calc’s (very effective) impression farm

KejseR, who plays for European pro team Atlantis, claims that he has been using the exploit “since the old map.” While we don’t know exactly how far back this bug dates, we know it predates October of 2019, when Chapter 2 (and the new map) arrived

Unfortunately the Yung Calculator hate group has increased by one member today. Regardless, I applaud Calc for being open about a massively overpowered bug. He could have easily kept his lips sealed and used it to his advantage; now everyone is on an even playing field

If you’re looking to gain an advantage because of this exploit, think again. People are posting and reposting this everywhere... So if anything, you’ll be on an even playing field with this shared knowledge

Knowing to look north will be the status quo, so look out for it especially when playing competitive game modes like Arena or Tournament

UPDATE: This wall replace method has been patched as of writing
